Showcase the best flavours of the Bay during the Flavours of Plenty Festival, running from 1 April to 3 May 2026. Cafés, restaurants, bars, and food trucks across the region are invited to take part in the Plates of Plenty Challenge, a celebration of local creativity and produce.
Each participating venue will receive a box of ingredients sourced from across the Bay of Plenty. Using at least three of these items, create a unique menu dish that puts local suppliers at the centre of your story and captures the true flavour of our region.
Key Dates
Taking part puts your venue in front of festival audiences, visitors, and media, connects you with local producers, and gives your team a creative challenge with real impact. You’ll receive a curated box of Bay of Plenty ingredients, use at least three in a limited-time dish available from 1 April to 3 May 2026, and be featured across the festival website, programme, and promotional channels.
Diners will be out tasting their way around the region, judges and the public will be voting, and your venue will be in the running for two sought-after awards and vouchers thanks our challenge sponsor Southern Hospitality. All while enjoying the boost in visibility and foot traffic that comes with being part of one of the Bay’s most celebrated food events.
